Instead of traditionally casting roles, actors have been assigned different scenes, giving them the the opportunity to play with different moments. Richard III is often considered Shakespeare’s greatest villain and while he can get pretty dark, when a character turns to wink at the audience about what he just did… well, you can’t take him too seriously.
